VILLAGE OF MURDOCK
December 3, 2024

The Village of Murdock Board of Trustees met on Tuesday, December 3. 2024 at 7:00 p.m. at the Village Hall. Roll call as follows; Jake Wilson, Dave Nuss, Lee Towle, Michelle Chesnut and clerk were all present. Brittany Cooklin was absent.

The minutes from the previous November meeting were read and motioned to be approved by Michelle Chesnut and second by Jake Wilson with all members voting in favor of.

The following checks were approved for payment: Windstream ph/int-463.44; OPPD elect.-734.55; Black Hills Energy gas serv.-196.03; Ashland Disposal Service garb.-2667.75; St of NE PHE Lab wat tst-15.00; Cass co RWD#2 542,000 gals-2818.40; Cass Co RWD#2 read met.-274.00; J. Faubion post./oper-182.80; J. Barnes payroll-1086.62; Young & White Law Offices legal serv.-536.25; Cass co Treasurer elect. Fees-100.00; Column Software PBC publishing-180.99; Michael Todd Industrial Supply st. signs-693.56; Postmaster stamps-146.00.

Mike Kluver from Parking Area Maintenance Inc. attended the meeting per request of Dave Nuss to give the Board a rough idea for options and cost to repair streets. Rout and sealing of major cracks with exception to Second Street and Nebraska St., will be a main focus as these two streets are in need of major maintenance. A proposal will be presented for square footage cost and the Board will decide which areas that will be done.

Christiansen Tree Service submitted a bid of $4240.00 to grind and haul the storm debri pile located at the NW corner of the School parking lot. Jake Wilson motioned to accept the bid and Michelle Chesnut second with all members voting in favor of.

A letter from Dan Highfield was read stating that there is not to be any snow pushed/piled onto the museum property that he is currently leasing.

The Board discussed snow fence and decision was made to put the snow fence up along Waverly and Wyoming Streets. A time frame will be determined in the near future when Board members and additional help can correlate schedules to get it done.

The Village Board entered into brief executive session.
There, being no further business, motion was made by Wilson and second by Towle that the meeting close and the next regular meeting will reconvene on Tuesday January 7, 2025at 7:00 p.m. at the Murdock Village Hall and it carried unanimously by RCV.
