Dave Nuss reviewed with the Board two bids that were submitted from D&H Construction for new concrete that needs to be installed at new/old light pole areas. Nuss originally requested help from D&H Construction in cutting and removing old concrete that was completed by Nuss. Board members agreed that the bids needed to be itemized for exact work to be done, areas listed and yards of concrete to be installed as deteriorating sidewalks were included at the Museum and at the Post Office. Property owners are responsible for sidewalk maintenance and if changes are needed with the exiting design, then Board members need to be informed and in agreement with the work to be done. Chesnut made motion to have the two bids be updated with itemized description and also obtain additional bid from another Construction company for the work needing done and also for the possible sidewalk repair that may be decided upon as a future project. Wilson second the motion and it passed unanimously.
Brief discussion concerning the street maintenance was held and tabled as information from Scott Hrabik is still being obtained for best process for completing the large amount of work that is needing done.
Michelle Chesnut made motion to accept mowing bids for the 2023 mowing season. The bids need to have the trimming of trees and upkeep at the Welcome to Murdock sign area on the spur along with the normal mowing areas of Village properties monthly or as needed. The bids will be reviewed and decision to be made at the May Meeting. J. Wilson second the motion and it passes unanimously.
Wilson made motion to approve renaming of the Corona Recovery Grant Fund listed on the Treasurer’s Report to the SLFRF Fund that is dedicated to the water system upgrade for the new meter installation process. Michelle Chesnut second and it passed unanimously.
A letter was reviewed from State Auditor’s office approving the September 30, 2022 year end Audit Waiver report with notations for dual check signature’s, date of check approval signing, and automatic payments of claims procedures and continuing education classes for clerks that need to be completed each year to be in compliance with the State Statutes.
The Lane and Mile report was reviewed and Scott Hrabik, Street Engineer will be notified that Miller Ave needs to be included on this report.
There, being no further business, motion was made by Wilson and second by Chesnut that the meeting close and the next regular meeting will reconvene on Tuesday, May 2, 2023 at 7:00 p.m. at the Murdock Village Hall and it carried unanimously by RCV.
