It's still officially Easter and I wanted to share some videos of the Easter Egg hunt. There were SOOOO many kids, it was adorable and I think you will enjoy it. Make sure to share this newsletter with your friends.
The traditional hymn that opens many Easter services around the world. Jesus Christ is Risen today at Trinity Murdock is celebrated with a Festive Divine service that includes a youth orchestra.
Many Elmwood-Murdock band students have an opportunity to give their talents to the congregation on Easter.
You may recognize the tympani, it was once part of the EM Band and when the school upgraded the percussion instruments they found a home at Trinity. They are a wonderful addition to our Festive Divine Services and we are blessed to have so many talented young people.
Please feel free to join us every Sunday

Bess Streeter Aldrich is Back in Town!
Ok, not the "real" person but her spirit is being honored by a reenactor who will portray Mrs. Aldrich and give a tour of her house.
Donna Durrette (Mrs. Aldrich) will be in character for the Sunday afternoon tour the first Sunday of the month at 2:00 pm. She portrays the spirit, not only of the author but a love of Elmwood and our small town of Elmwood.
I have experienced it a thousand times since I moved to Elmwood - the warm-hearted hospitality, loyal friendship and deep sympathy of the small town. And it is these characteristics and other of the better features of a small town and it's people that I have tried to stress in my short stories and books.

The String Beans are coming back!!
This will be EPIC!!! For those who don't know who the String Beans are...like my brother...they are not the Wiggles.
Here is the info from their website:
"From pop and country to rap and rock n’ roll, The String Beans perform a wide variety of original, family-friendly songs about all the things kids love: animals, cartoons, food, science, sports and lots more!
Each show is hilarious, inclusive and spontaneous, and each catchy tune is designed to get every audience dancing and singing along!
Since forming in 2004, The String Beans have released 10 albums, appeared on dozens of radio and television programs, and delighted thousands of fans, becoming Nebraska’s favorite entertainers for pre-school through elementary-aged audiences, not to mention parents, teachers, and communities.
The String Beans perform at fairs, festivals, libraries, schools, churches, museums, zoos and more! In their hometown of Lincoln, Nebraska, the “Beans” sold out the Lied Center for Performing Arts and consistently set new attendance records at the Lincoln Children’s Museum’s “Music & Mozzarella” concert series.
The band has also performed for the Governor’s Arts Awards Ceremony and recently completed a tour of the southeast United States with performances in Missouri, Georgia, Tennessee, and Florida."
