Hope Everyone had a Happy Easter. Spring is in the air, and it was a perfect morning for an Easter Egg Hunt at Trinity Lutheran after the Easter Service.
According to the Youth Group leaders, more than 1000 eggs were filled!!

Younger kids came out first and it was soooo cute to see the unique baskets and Easter dresses.

Parents were on hand taking pictures and watching in amazement as "little people" kept bobbing up and down.

Young and old got into the Easter Egg Hunt, you are never too old to hunt Easter Eggs. Some members like Steve Klemme remembers his daughter Rachel hunting eggs at church. Now he helps his granddaughter.
It's more than just the candy as the kids learn in Sunday School. Last week they waved Palms as services started and this week they sang during the offering.

The String Beans are coming back!!
This will be EPIC!!! For those who don't know who the String Beans are...like my brother...they are not the Wiggles.
Here is the info from their website:
"From pop and country to rap and rock n’ roll, The String Beans perform a wide variety of original, family-friendly songs about all the things kids love: animals, cartoons, food, science, sports and lots more!
Each show is hilarious, inclusive and spontaneous, and each catchy tune is designed to get every audience dancing and singing along!
Since forming in 2004, The String Beans have released 10 albums, appeared on dozens of radio and television programs, and delighted thousands of fans, becoming Nebraska’s favorite entertainers for pre-school through elementary-aged audiences, not to mention parents, teachers, and communities.

The String Beans perform at fairs, festivals, libraries, schools, churches, museums, zoos and more! In their hometown of Lincoln, Nebraska, the “Beans” sold out the Lied Center for Performing Arts and consistently set new attendance records at the Lincoln Children’s Museum’s “Music & Mozzarella” concert series.
The band has also performed for the Governor’s Arts Awards Ceremony and recently completed a tour of the southeast United States with performances in Missouri, Georgia, Tennessee and Florida."

Highway 63 UPDATE
The first phase of the project from I-80 to Church road was completed in 2017. This opened Church road east-west and connected it to I80.
Last year, 2018, was supposed to be culverts, grading and paving from South of Church road to Alvo.
The weather put the culvert work, grading work and utility relocation work behind schedule. By the time we had the subgrade stabilized and embankments constructed it was too cold to pave.
We will go to work on subgrade reconstruction and foundation placement once the frost is out of the ground and we get some drying weather.
Paving should go fast and we hope to be paved out by July.
I know it is frustrating but grading work is very susceptible to delays with wet weather and last year had a lot of rain.
It is with the hope that we can open in July.
Please encourage anyone interested to call the district office for updates.

Our project manager is Jesse DeLosSantos.
Our Construction Engineer is Curt Mueting.
