M.I.T. (Murdock Improvement Team) invites everyone to participate with the autumn decorating of downtown Murdock by putting up our scarecrows.
It’s going to be an exciting new look thanks to Jackie Barnes for sharing her artistic talents.
Meet at the Murdock Town Hall on next Sunday, September 30th at 2 PM. We hope to have cornstalks to attach to light poles and scarecrows ready to put up. We also have small scarecrows which go in the flower planters around town. Come join in the fun!
Next week is the start of the Fall Photo Gallery of Halloween in Murdock.
I think it's actually BETTER than the Christmas season!

Last Sunday we welcomed several new members and family to Trinity Lutheran Church.
We are blessed to have them and we hope we bless their lives as well.
After church, a fried chicken potluck dinner was served with cake and desserts.

Some families are new to the area, others are coming back.
Our Sunday School program has new students every week.

This week the theme was "What do you want to leave (LEAF) to Jesus?" What leaves you fearful, worried, and angry. How can you let go, and leave it to God?
Next week I will post our bulletin board of "Leaves"
Please feel free to join us every Sunday

West Nile Warning
Two local Elmwood residents have been hospitalized recently for West Nile.
This is no joke!
Mosquitoes are out and it's important to use insect repellent. Symptoms include a high fever, a very severe headache, and stiffness. It may feel like a very bad flu, but WORSE. Both people were in the hospital for a week, so it is a major illness. It can cause encephalitis or meningitis.
One person I spoke to it's something he never wants again and he is still feeling very weak.

As youth, we have the power to change the social norm created by Big Tobacco and celebrate our collaborative achievements. Awareness and unification are keys to our success in the past and moving forward.
