Fall in Murdock
Thanks to Linda Glantz and the Murdock Pride Group for decorating Main Street and inspiring others to decorate their homes with pumpkins and decorations.

Mark your calendars for the CHRISTMAS IN MURDOCK event which is always the Saturday before Thanksgiving.
Meet at the Town Hall at 10 AM. Every effort will be made for each organization to be invited to send two volunteers from your group. Individuals are absolutely invited to participate as well. Each Christmas tree needs to be transported from the old fire hall to across the street, secured to the post, and lights put on some. Many hands make light work.
Groups and individuals are once again invited to sponsor a flower planter to decorate for the season.
It can be something very simple to elaborate…your choice. Be sure that it is something which is securely placed due to our strong winds which sweep down Main street. This can be also be done at your convenience the week before Thanksgiving.
If you wish to reserve a certain planter, please secure a note on that planter.
Take down of Christmas trees and wreaths will be the Saturday following New Year’s Day.Seasonal planter decorations may be removed whenever the volunteer chooses.
Thank you to all who have in the past and present support MURDOCK PRIDE by volunteering for events to bring smiles to all who pass through downtown. You have MURDOCK PRIDE!
For questions, you may contact Linda Glantz 402-867-3251.

This is the first time students from Elmwood-Murdock have attended the FFA Convention. Did you know out students could even participate?
Learn more next week as I tell the story of how this happened and the future of FFA at Elmwood-Murdock School.

Elmwood-Murdock Community News
Have you seen it? What is it you ask? The new Elmwood Park Playground!!
If you drove through Elmwood either Saturday or Sunday you couldn't miss the dozens and dozens of people that flocked and scaled great heights to help build the next generations playground equipment.
There were just too many photos of the two days so here it is in a video for you to enjoy. Count and see how many people from both Elmwood and Murdock came together on this great project.
It is a marvelous site to witness when everyone comes together as a community and a team. This new playground will serve the youth of both Elmwood and Murdock for years to come. It makes our communities stronger and attractive for new families which keep us vibrant and alive.
Have you heard? There is a new playground coming to the Elmwood Park. You might have seen the dirt work and construction and the excitement is just about to start!
If you like to eat, you can come to the Quonset on Thursday, Oct 19th and a portion of the evening sales will go to building a new park for our community. Elmwood-Murdock is indeed a family community. We share our kids, our schools, our families and our parks.
