The Annual Murdock 4th of July Celebrations!
What a great time at the Murdock 4th of July Celebration. I took lots of photos it all started with the Dillon Synovec Memorial Run at 7:30 and for those who wanted breakfast, they found it at Bulldogs.
Look at these two beautiful ladies!! Doesn't matter that you got up at what time to set up and get organized.
Julie Synovec and Deb Zoebel manned the registration table and runners and walkers socialized in the early morning. Me, I can't function that early in the morning, much less run.
Many people have made this a tradition every year for the past 10 years and it's a wonderful way to remember Dillon and gather together as friends and family.
Here are just a FEW of the photos I took in the morning, Many more will be coming next week and also in a compilation video so look for friends and family
Thank you to Linda Glantz and Murdock PRIDE for the bounce house, the flowers and the wonderful town decorations and new fencing on Main Street. Murdock looks wonderful!
Doesn't she look lovely!!

Thanks to Bruce Stock for emceeing the parade, as always you do a wonderful job!!

Cass County Fair News
It is getting to be that time of the year again. Time to start thinking about fair entries and exhibits.
Quilt Raffle: Last year's special block contest was for quilt blocks using the colors of the Olympics since it was an Olympic year. The blocks were then made into a quilt to be raffled off at this year's county fair. Besides the blocks from the contest, there are 7 blocks which were signed by 2016 Olympic athletes who had Nebraska ties.

Tickets will be for sale at the Fair Expo Building between August 8 and August 12, drawing to occur at 8:00pm the evening of August 12 in the Expo Building. One does not need to be there. Tickets are $1.00 each or 6 for $5.00.
If someone wants to buy tickets ahead of the fair, call Ramona Oehlerking at 402-429-8585. May have to leave a message.
Be aware that this year's contest (and next year's raffle quilt) is for 12 1/2" blocks of true blue and white. 2018 fair requirements will be 12 1/2" block of autumn colors.
