Saturday I flipped the calendar to October and it came to the conclusion that it is officially fall. Yes, it's no longer summer and I can now start looking forward to the following...

Halloween
Halloween decorations
Pumpkin carving (Send me photos)
Harvest and combines rolling
Leaves changing colors
Area soup suppers (YUM)
Veterans Day activities
Thanksgiving
AND....Christmas right around the corner

Annual Market to Market Relay Race

October 8 - 9:15 am

The exciting Market to Market Relay Race is this week and the youth group of Trinity Lutheran Church is participating by volunteering and using this as a fundraiser.

Want something to do? Stop by the church to watch teams of racers run from Lincoln to Omaha. Many are dressed in costume for contest.

Teams of runners will leave from Lincoln and race to Omaha. Are they nuts? Maybe, but it's a lot of fun to watch, many are dressed in costrumes.

Murdock Historical Society & Museum

One of the things that surprises many people is the quality of the Murdock Historical Museum. I want to thank Dale Vanderford for allowing me to pull historical tidbits from their Facebook page.

Elmwood-Murdock Homecoming

Homecoming is October 7th and week long festivities are planned. Send me your photos of the week for next weeks newsletter. Names of people in the photos are appreciated.

High School Football Season

The Elmwood-Murdock Football team is halfway through their season. Thank you in advance to all the parents, students and fans who cheer them on each week.
