2014 Cass County Election Primary Results

Click on the link below to see the results of the 2014 Election primary for Cass County. If you would like to see a break down per precinct click on the Filter button and select the precinct. Elmwood is the Stove Creek precinct.

Another way to view the results:

If you go to the county webpage (http://www.cassne.org/) In the middle of the page it will say ELECTION RESULTS. Go ahead and click on that.

Once that opens you have a world of information available to you.

If you are interested in downloading all of the information in a report. Click on the REPORTS tab on the far right of the site.

If you are interested in a specific race scroll down until you see it.

If you click on MAP on that race it will break out the precincts and what candidate won that specific precinct. It will be color coded.

If you click back on DETAIL you can see on the left hand side 4 different pictures.

1- Is a bar graph going left to right

2- Is a bar graph going up and down

3- Looks like a rectangle and two squares

4- Looks like a house

These each do something different with the voter counts.

Cass Classifieds Everywhere

After 6 months testing the Classified Ad Section on the Louisville Nebraska City website, we are comfortable rolling the feature out County/Network Wide with the

Beginning with the Wed 5/21/2014 Newsletter all of the Communities will be able to post, buy, sell ads for general merchandise such as mowers, baby cribs, cars, computers and Real Estate.
We especially hope that the classified ads will be used to post Jobs, look for positions, and post special events, birthdays, church events and Garage Sales.

Certainly there are lots of places on the Internet to post ads, but I know that some folks are uncomfortable with using EBay or Craigs List - this is just your neighbors and should be a bit less scary.

Step 1: you do need to have an account, and an email address to manage your ads. You will be notified to renew your ad, you can change info, pricing, and pics as long as you have this account.

Step 2: create an ad, indicate if it is Elmwood, Eagle, Louisville and Alvo and post it

Step 3: wait for approval. We will approve ads as close to immediately as possible. We need to take a quick peek and make sure that it is a real ad, and if anything needs fixing we will fix it.

Step 4: post it to Facebook if you like!

Ads will now show everywhere, regardless if it was posted in Elmwood or Alvo. Our number one request was to post once, and make it visible everywhere. Ads will also be Goggle/Twitter searchable as well as location, travel directions searchable.

So, get cracking! Create that account, and post everything in your garage and basement!

“Dearly Beloved” Opens Lofte’s 38th Season

The Lofte Community Theatre in Manley announces the opening of “Dearly Beloved” on their main stage on May 24th. Frankie has almost made herself sick with the elaborate preparations for her daughter’s antebellum wedding, and the rumor mill in little Fayro, Texas is working overtime. Frankie and her sisters are no strangers to gossip. They had a scandalous breakup of their almost-famous gospel trio, ‘The Sermonettes.’

Despite Frankie’s conversations with her dead mother, Honey Raye’s habit of racing to the altar time after time, and Twink’s own struggle to get her boyfriend of 15 years down the aisle, Frankie is determined to pull off this wedding with elegance and style. However, this is made more difficult when the wedding dinner is turned into a potluck supper sponsored by Clovis Sanford’s House of Meat and gold lame gowns are worn to the church!

Directed by Kevin Colbert, the cast stars Chris Werger of Eagle; Alyssa DiPaolo of Lincoln, Shari Hoelker, Doug Rothgeb, and Randy Wallace of Omaha; Keri Hogue of Elmwood; Wendy Allen, Pat Billings, Bret Tincher and Melinda Mead of Plattsmouth and Kevin Colbert of Weeping Water.

Production dates for the show are May 24, 25, 30, 31 and June 1 and 6-8. Curtain times are 7:30pm except for Sundays which are 2pm matinees. Single show tickets are $19, but you can buy a season pass for $65 until June 8. The season pass entitles one person admission to all five regular season shows in 2014. EMN Nationals American Legion baseball team to begin season

The Elmwood/Murdock/Nehawka Nationals will begin their season on Sunday May 18th at Westgate Field in Omaha, NE against the Millard Black Sox. The first home game will be on Wednesday, May 21st in Nehawka against Nebraska City. Admission to the home games will be $5 for adults and $3 for students and senior citizens. Season passes will be available for purchase also. $50 for adults and $30 for students. The passes will be good for all home games in Elmwood and Nehawka including our wood bat tournaments the first two weekends in June. The season’s scheduled can be viewed on our website http://www.eteamz.com/emnnationals. Keep an eye on the schedule as we may move a couple more games to Elmwood if it becomes available. The Elmwood-Murdock Public Schools has sub-contracted with ABM Janitorial Services for providing lead custodial services at the Elmwood school site. Attached is a job description for the position.
