The EM team received their awards at the Nebraska State FBLA awards ceremony Saturday morning. The top members (usually 8 members)depending on the event are recognized on stage and the top 3 are going to Music City (Nashville) Tennessee for National FBLA this June.  Congratulations to everyone!  A big thanks to Owen Kunz for the updates.

“Rave On!” at Lofte Community Theatre

Manley, NE [March 17, 2014] - Omaha native Billy McGuigan and his group of multi-talented musicians will bring his Buddy Holly tribute concert, “Rave On!” to the Lofte Community Theatre on Saturday, April 12 at 7pm.

Bloom Where You're Planted Farm

What:  Rural Route Rust -- A Vintage and Handmade Market

When:  April 12th, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Where:  Bloom Where You're Planted Farm, 911-108th St., rural Avoca, NE

Shop the farmyard for antiques, primitives, upcycled creations (trash-to-treasure), handmade gifts, vintage goods and rusty gold from 22 vendors from all across Nebraska and Iowa.  Get hot lunch or baked goods from our restored one-room Schoolhouse Cafe and visit the farm animals.  Admission is FREE.

Safety for kids

On April 12th, come to the fourth annual SAFE KIDS SPRING SAFETY EVENT AND BIKE RODEO at the Plattsmouth Community Center from 10 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.! This free family event includes plenty of fun things to do, free food (courtesy of Hy-Vee) and lots of great prizes.   The more fun activities that kids do, the more prize tickets they will earn.  Some (but not all) of the prizes that will be given away at the event are on display at these locations: the Plattsmouth Car Dealers along Highway 75, Plattsmouth Public Library, Plattsmouth Early Childhood Center, Plattsmouth Elementary School, Hy-Vee, Edward Jones, Children’s Physicians Clinic, and Plattsmouth Community Center.  When you visit these sponsors to look at the prizes, thank them for helping to make this year’s event the best ever!
