There's nothing quite like a night at the Cass County Fair. Oh, baby, and the funnel cakes rock!

The Elmwood Murdock Merchants Association booth at the fair displayed information from area businesses.

Oxbow had several examples of their products and information about their Vet Camp.

Shannon Ronhovde, Miss Cass County, was wandering around the fair, basking in the after glow of winning the title.

I've seen this on Pinterest and was glad to see one in person. Now I want to try it!

Kevin and Lisa Hynes show off the newest addition, Erin. She has three big brothers to teach her the ropes. Kevin said it's as if their house exploded in pink!

Josoff's Social hall will be hosting the 5th quarter Friday night highlights after every Elmwood- Murdock football game this year!

Come gather with friends, family, and neighbors to watch highlight videos on the big screen, celebrate wins and cheer on the knights! We will have food and drink specials every week! Hope to see you all there!

The Willey Family would like to invite you to participate in the 11th annual Step Up for Down Syndrome Walk on October 6, 2012. This even supports the Down Syndrome Association for Families of Nebraska (DSAF). The monies raised from the Step Up Walk will pay for information for parents and educators, programs for families impacted by Down Syndrome, fun outings for our family, and much more!

How can you help? Many different ways! You can support Ben’s Brigade by walking or donating. You can sign up to do either by going to our team fundraising page by clicking here. Adults are $20 and Kids are $10 and if registered by September 14th you get a free t-shirt with your registration. Students and faculty of Elmwood - Murdock School can register for free by joining the Elmwood Murdock School Team by clicking here. (School team registrations need to enter a coupon code of "school" and do not get a t-shirt so wear school colors.)

The walk is 1 mile and starts at Antelope Park (by 33rd and A streets), but there will be so much more than just the walk! There will be food and fun for the whole family with the String Beans, Der Viener Schlinger, Face Painting and much more.

August 31st is the deadline for the Early Bird Fundraiser. For each $175 we raise by that date, Ben gets a fact poster displayed along the walk route (limit 3). We used some of our previous year’s posters on a float at the Murdock 4th of July parade and won 2nd place for best float. September 14th is the deadline for getting a free t-shirts with your paid registration. So don't wait, register or donate today.

The Elmwood-Murdock Booster Club would like to inform you that they have received reports of poor quality printing on a couple of the pages of the 2012-2013 Booster Club calendar. The printing problems seem to be with the ads on the first page and on one of the subsequent pages in the calendar. If this is a problem with your calendar, you are asked to return your calendar to the Elmwood and/or Murdock School sites for a new calendar. If we run out of calendars we will take your name and call you when the replacement calendars arrive. We would ask you call the Elmwood and/or Murdock School site to make sure we have a replacement calendar on hand prior to making the trip to the school. You will be asked to turn in your old calendar prior to getting a new calendar so we can receive credit from the printing company for the returned calendars.
