Looking for Local Help:

I am looking for contact for murdock area cemetery.  Wabash Cemetery.

My wife's maiden name is Amgwert. I was there many years ago and there were several Amgwerts buried there.  My wifes father is not doing well.  He should  be buried in Murdock with his parents, when the time comes. He supposed graduated from high school in murdock. I need to check this out if you can do me this favor.

I had family in omaha and lived in Cedar Bluffs for a time.  I remeber being in Murdock to watch  football games more than once. Nine man football I beleive.

 Thanks

Case tractors to highlight annual July show

WAVERLY – Plans are being finalized and grounds are being spruced up for this year’s 36th Annual Camp Creek Antique Machinery and Threshing Show set for July 21 and 22, 2012 near Waverly.
The Case line of tractors is being featured this year along with Nelson Bros. gas engines. This 2012 feature tractor is owned by Clarence and Kathy Scholl of Plattsmouth. The restored 1950 tractor was produced for the CORPS of Engineers, U.S. Army and will be on display throughout the weekend. Case tractors will join rows and rows of other restored tractors on display for all to enjoy.
Threshing machines will be working throughout the weekend harvesting wheat that the club grows, cuts and binds a few days before the show. Other demonstrations include a sawmill, steam crane, plowing and fieldwork, corn shelling, baker fan, flourmill and proney brake.
A craft building will be open that will include demonstrations of butter making, and pottery and an old-fashioned popcorn popper. Across from the craft building, the print shop will be open where a person can stop and watch printing machines as they make up date cards for next year’s show.
Buildings along Main Street include a country store, with plenty of items for sale, a drug store, summer kitchen, one room schoolhouse, and a country church. Church services will be held Saturday evening and Sunday morning. Post cards will be for sale in the Post Office that people can have stamped with a “Camp Creek Threshers” cancellation stamp.
For the children, the Waverly FFA will bring in animals for children to pet and feed, the kids’ playground includes new equipment, and once again, children will be invited to dive through a straw pile looking for money. The Children’s Tractor Pedal Pull is scheduled for Sunday morning.
The Prairie Blacksmiths will demonstrate the art of blacksmithing, the Lincoln Railroaders will have a display in the Waverly Depot, and the Camp Creek Railroaders will be running their scaled trains that weekend.
And if you are looking for a missing part, an old tractor manual, or a dish that reminds you of what your mother had, there is a good chance that you will be able to find it in the flea market. And at 2 p.m. both days, a Parade of Power will go through the showgrounds. That’s when you’ll get to see those old tractors actually run. An antique tractor pull is set for both days.
The event opens at dawn both days with an all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast and food and water will be for sale throughout the day.            Camping is available, security will be provided, parking is free, and admission remains at $7 per day. Trams will run through the showgrounds both days of the show. Handicapped parking will be available and rides will be given back and forth to vehicles.
The showgrounds are located at 17200 Bluff Road, two miles east of the Waverly Intermediate School and Rosehill Cemetery. Watch for the signs.
