The Elmwood Murdock Merchants Association, EMMA, invite you to a free pancake feed next Sunday. We would like to thank you for your patronage by hosting the pancake feed. We appreciate your loyalty to your local businesses. We would like to thank Chris Cramer from the Elmwood Meat Plant for donating the sausages for the event. He also donated the two Easter hams to be given away at the pancake feed. Come register to win! A big thanks to Mick Bornemeier for loaning his awesome pancake griddle for us to use. Come to the Elmwood Fire Hall on Sunday and enjoy the pancakes, sausages, and drinks!

DR. SEUSS BOOKS

Thank you to Lucas Wrigley and Dalton Wheeler in Mrs. Cook's class and Liberty Greening in Mrs. Justus's class for sharing their Dr. Seuss books on Dr. Seuss's birthday last week. The students shared the books with Miss Reinke during library time. The students sat on a Dr. Seuss Cat in the Hat mat as they listened to Dr. Seuss books.

SPRING CARNIVAL

We are again doing theme baskets for each classroom for Silent Auction. K-Cookie Lovers, 1st -Family Games/Books 2nd – Birthday 3rd-Gardening 4th – Summer Fun/Barbeque, 5th – Coffee, 6th – Family Snow Day. The Spring Carnival is scheduled for April 16, 2010. If you would like to donate something for the baskets please give us a call at school.

SUMMER KNIGHTS

In previous years we have offered a summer childcare program, called Summer Knights at the school. We have not offered this program for the last two years due to building construction. At this time we are not planning to offer the program this summer. Please contact Principal Bruce Friedrich if you have any questions regarding the discontinuation of this program.

TerraNova achievement tests will be given March 23-26 for grade 2-6 at the elementary. It is important that students get plenty of rest and eat a good breakfast so that they may do their very best on these important tests. Please try to not schedule appointments during this testing time.

GIRL SCOUT COOKIES
Did you miss Girl Scout cookie sales, or would you just like to buy an extra box or two? Our troop has limited amounts of the following varieties for sale: Caramel Delites, Peanut Butter Patties, Shortbread, Peanut Butter Sandwich, Lemonades, and Daisy-Go-Rounds.
