Cass County Clergy  Potato Project

Six Middle Cass County Churches have joined together and formed an association to pool resources and talents to help the community and neighbors. Last year 200 pounds of seed potatoes were purchased and planted for give away. From that over two tons of potatoes were harvested.

This year the group is looking for volunteers to get on board and help with the planting, weeding and harvesting as well as the give away. They are also looking for enough land to plant 200 pounds of seed potatoes.

If anyone is interested, please contact, Pastor Cathy Stander at 402- 677 - 9606.

A Personal Invitation

Let anyone who is thirsty come to me and drink.” John 7:37

God is a God who opens the door and waves His hand, pointing pilgrims to a full table.

His invitation is not just for a meal, however. It is for life.

An invitation to come into His kingdom and take up residence in a tearless,

grave-less, painless world. Who can come? Whoever wishes.

The invitation is at once universal and personal.

Sunday Worship: 10AM with Communion and all are welcome at the table.

Everyone is welcome just as you are.

Adult and children's educational classes following worship.

Faith Lessons @ 10 AM on Tuesday 4PM on Sunday.

Newly Forming Women's Group: 1rst & 4th Tuesdays @ 6:30 PM

Recovery Group meets every Thursday @ 7 PM.

This is not meant to replace CMA, NA, GA or AA, but is

a supplement and the higher power is Christ who sets us free

from being slaves to alcohol and drugs. Led by recovering addicts.

We are a small but growing church with a big heart for Jesus and you.

We proclaim the Lord is about to do something great in Louisville.

Many opportunities for outreach in Jesus' Name.

Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.” Matthew 11: 28 - 30

Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.-Hebrews 11:1 (NIV)

STUDENT CONDUCT AT BASKETBALL GAMES

Elementary students should come to games with a parent or other responsible adult and not just be dropped off at the school.  Children should be under the supervision of a parent or other responsible adult during the basketball games. Students and children should not be running and playing in the halls during the games.  Thank you for your cooperation.

HELP FOR HAITI

The Elementary Student Council has chosen to sponsor a series of fundraisers to help with the relief efforts toward Haiti.  After discussing many different charities, the kids have chosen to focus our efforts to the victims of the earthquake in Haiti.

Our plan is to have a bake sale during the Parent-Teacher Conferences on February 11.  We will also be having a Hats On for Haiti Day on February 19.  Students will pay fifty cents to wear a hat on that Friday and the grade that collects the most money will choose a teacher to have an Ice Cream Sundae built on their head during an afternoon assembly on the 19th.  The kids will also be running a concession stand during the Science Fair on Tuesday, February 9, with the proceeds going to our fundraiser.

If you would like to help, you may do so by donating items for our bake sale during the week of February 8 or by making a monetary donation.  Any help you could give us would be greatly appreciated.  All donations may be brought to Mrs. Paulsen.  In addition, please congratulate our Student Council members for choosing to help such a worthwhile cause.
