Did You Know??
Did you know that Murdock's own Daniel Ruge was President Reagans White House physician?
I didn't, and I'll bet many other people didn't either.
Learn this and more at the Murdock Historical Museum which will now be open on Saturdays starting in Mid May.
Time for the Good Neighbor Awards
Plans are already in the works for the Murdock 4th of July Celebration and just one part is the Good Neighbor Awards.
We have a lot of people in the Elmwood-Murdock area who help make our community vibrant, active and a better place to live. If you know one of those people, nominate them to be forever recognized.
This award goes back to 2004 and just take a look at all the good people who have been recognized.

Pastor Kuhlman Received Scholarship
Pastor Kuhlman was graciously given a scholarship to attend the summer session of the International Academy of Apologetics, Evangelism and Human Rights in Strasbourg, France from July 9-20. This is a remarkable opportunity for Pastor Kuhlman and for our congregation.
He will take the class for academic credit and will incorporate what he learns into several Bible classes and other learning opportunities for the congregation over the next few years.
The academy is world renowned and two of its main professors, John Warwick Montgomery and Craig Parton, are Missouri Synod Lutherans.
Pastor Kuhlman will travel and attend the academy with Pastor Lynn Christensen who is now stationed as a naval chaplain in New Orleans. Many may remember Pastor Christensen when he served two vacancies at Trinity Murdock while he served at Immanuel Eagle over 21 years ago.
Go online and check out the academy at http://www.apologeticsacademy.eu/

The String Beans are coming back!!
This will be EPIC!!! For those who don't know who the String Beans are...like my brother...they are not the Wiggles.
Here is the info from their website:
"From pop and country to rap and rock n’ roll, The String Beans perform a wide variety of original, family-friendly songs about all the things kids love: animals, cartoons, food, science, sports and lots more!
Each show is hilarious, inclusive and spontaneous, and each catchy tune is designed to get every audience dancing and singing along!
Since forming in 2004, The String Beans have released 10 albums, appeared on dozens of radio and television programs, and delighted thousands of fans, becoming Nebraska’s favorite entertainers for pre-school through elementary-aged audiences, not to mention parents, teachers, and communities.
The String Beans perform at fairs, festivals, libraries, schools, churches, museums, zoos and more! In their hometown of Lincoln, Nebraska, the “Beans” sold out the Lied Center for Performing Arts and consistently set new attendance records at the Lincoln Children’s Museum’s “Music & Mozzarella” concert series.
The band has also performed for the Governor’s Arts Awards Ceremony and recently completed a tour of the southeast United States with performances in Missouri, Georgia, Tennessee, and Florida."
