Despite the extreme temperatures during the Cass County Fair, a lot of fun was had by all who attended.
Unlimited ride wristbands were available both Thursday and Saturday for a cost of $15.00. The exhilarating adrenaline rushes were abundant for those who chose the various carnival rides.
Food only found at the fair included fabulous funnel cakes, ice cold luscious lemonade slushies, scrumdidilyumptious snow cones, mountain high nachos, hardy hotdogs, and much more.
Loads of fun was had by those who participated in playing Bingo. The anticipation was almost more than some could take, especially when the dreaded, “BINGO!” was shouted out by another player.
The showing of a multitude of different types of animals took place continuously throughout the week. Audiences of people viewed animals from rabbits and chickens to cattle and hogs.
The new buildings were a great improvement to the fair this year. Walking around the air conditioned exhibits was a real relief from the heat. The bathroom facilities and lounge area in the new Extension Office building were also very nice.
There was such a variety of activities to do, exhibits to view, and events to attend for all ages. Popular Attractions included: Bush Pullers Tractor Pull, 4-H Shows & Exhibits, Live Entertainment, Antique Tractor Pull, Mutton Busting, The Parade, Commercial Exhibits, Pedal Pull, Chainsaw Artist, Coloring Contest, Semi Truck Pull, the Midway Carnival, and so much more! I hope you all were able to bare the heat and enjoy the fair!
Hearing from Lauren Bowman about her experience in the parade, she said, “I had a lot of fun being in the parade. It was really nice to see all of my friends from school again. If it weren't for the heat I would do it again. Getting ready for the parade was half of the fun. All the practices were a blast. With Mr. Hanson and Dale being in charge was really fun. I hope I get a chance to do it again next year.”
Fair results are now posted at www.casscountyfair.org
