Inspiration
When I say I am a Christian, I am not shouting I am clean living. I am whispering I was lost, now I am found and forgiven.
I do not speak of this with pride. I am confessing that I stumble and need Christ to be my guide.
I am not bragging that I am strong. I am professing that I am weak and need His strength to carry on.
I am not bragging of success. I am admitting I have failed and need God to clean my mess.
I am not claiming to be perfect. My flaws are far too visible, but God believes I am worth it.
I still feel the sting of pain, I have my share of heartaches, so I call upon His name.
Kim Griffin reported about The Tomorrow’s Producers 4-H Club Event:
“The Tomorrow's Producers 4-H club went grocery shopping on Thursday, May 17th to purchase all the ingredients to make their parents a homemade meal!
They met at the Methodist Church on Sunday, the 20th at 4pm. Their menu included spaghetti and sauce (from scratch), cheese rolls, green beans with bacon and onion, salad and grated carrots, frosted brownies from scratch and drinks. They also learned the proper way to set a table. Everyone pitched in with the cooking and they even helped clear tables, wash and dry dishes and put them away!”
Members and their parents that attended were Tim, Cindy, Katie & Christine Schmitt, Karen, Budd, Kyle & Josh Bogatz, Kim, Ron & Matt Griffin, Diane, Lindsey, Maddie & Morgan Mills, Paige & Rose Vogler, Sue, Herm, Michelle & Macy Platt, & Tara Bornemeier.

Grave sites found
“Hello again Teri - want to let you know that I found the graves I was looking for. Took a trip today (Friday) to the Elmwood cemetery and then found the Wabash cemetery - after going through Wabash and driving around the section - no signs that we could find. In the very well kept Wabash cemetery I found the graves - well marked - of my wife's great grandparents, who came to the Wabash area in 1866 after the Civil War. They are the parents of the son who died in the Civil War and whose letters home during the war we have in our possession. I took photos and will include them in the family record of the McBrides. We also drove up and down all the streets in Murdock, and it to be a very nice country town, and yards and houses very well kept up. The countryside is beautiful this time of year. Thank you very much for your interest in our project. Information contained in the letters can be made available to you should you ever wish to publish any related information. The handwritten letters have all been re-typed verbatim and are part of the history book we have put together about Pvt John Lucien McBride, killed in the Battle of Chicamauga (later spelling includes a "k" after the "c"), GA on Sept 19, 1863.

Exercises for those of us who are getting older .... I just came across this exercise suggested for seniors to build muscle strength in the arms and shoulders. It seems so easy, so I thought I'd pass it on to some of my friends and family. The article suggested doing it three days per week. Begin by standing on a comfortable surface where you have plenty of room at each side. With a 5 lb. potato sack in each hand, extend your arms straight out from your sides and hold them there as long as you can. Try to reach a full minute and then relax. Each day you will find that you can hold this position for just a bit longer. After a couple of weeks, move up to 10 lb. potato sacks and then 50 lb. potato sacks. Eventually try to get to where you can lift a 100 lb. potato sack in each hand and hold your arms straight for more than a full minute. I'm at this level! After you feel confident at that level, put a potato in each of the sacks.
