Inspiration
Here is the picture of the Laminins that was supposed to have appeared in last week’s inspirational. Maybe some of you googled it and saw it’s structure to be in the shape of a cross.
An eye witness account from New York City, on a cold day in December, some years ago: A little boy, about 10-years-old, was standing before a shoe store on the roadway, barefooted, peering through the window, and shivering with cold.
A lady approached the young boy and said, 'My, but you're in such deep thought staring in that window!'
'I was asking God to give me a pair of shoes,' was the boy's reply.
The lady took him by the hand, went into the store, and asked the clerk to get half a dozen pairs of socks for the boy. She then asked if he could give her a basin of water and a towel. He quickly brought them to her. She took the little fellow to the back part of the store and, removing her gloves, knelt down, washed his little feet, and dried them with the towel.
By this time, the clerk had returned with the socks. Placing a pair upon the boy's feet, she purchased him a pair of shoes. She tied up the remaining pairs of socks
and gave them to him. She patted him on the head and said, ' No doubt, you will be more comfortable now. '
As she turned to go, the astonished kid caught her by the hand, and looking up in to her face, with tears
in his eyes, asked her.
'Are you God's wife?'
What’s Happening Around Our Community
“To All,
I want to start to spread the word about Tyler ’s birthday celebration. Tyler’s 16th birthday is Wednesday, April 15. To celebrate his birthday, we will be having a gathering at our pond on Saturday, April 18 at 2:30 p.m. If anyone is interested, you can bring a plant that we will plant in memory of Tyler in a spot that we are going to create as a memorial site for Tyler and Dillon down by our pond. If you would like to release a fish into the pond in memory of Tyler, you can do that as well. Minnows, catfish and walleye are all fish that could be released. We plan to have fishing and a cookout, so we are crossing our fingers for good weather!! We do not have many chairs/seats, so if you have a chair to bring along, that would be great. If the weather turns out to be rainy, we will have a gathering instead at the roller skating rink in Elmwood. (Thanks, Julie!)
For anyone that might be interested, Mass will be held at St. Patrick’s Church on Wednesday morning, April 15, at 8:00 a.m. in honor of Tyler. After Mass, I will be going out to the cemetery to decorate for Tyler’s birthday.
Please pass this along to anyone that might want to attend. Please call me or email me if you have any questions.
Thanks!
Annette”

I encourage all of you to make use of the Free Classified Ads.
This is a classic example of "the more it gets used, the more useful it becomes"
It is fun to browse and notice your neighbor, selling what they bought last year at your garage sale.
It is also, a benefit that allows folks to turn unused items to cash - all the ads have been made "Google - able" so you get great visibility for your old weed whacker.
Newsletter subscriptions are Free, and that is a great deal at twice the price!

NEWS FORM THE SCHOOL NURSE
We have seen a case of confirmed Fifth Disease in school. Fifth Disease is a viral disease characterized by red cheeks and a lacy rash on the body. It is important for you to check with your doctor to determine a diagnosis. Any woman in their first 3 months of pregnancy should be notified of contact with anyone with Fifth Disease. It can affect the developing baby.
Your student should stay home if the rash is uncomfortable (itchy) or if they have a fever. Please contact the office with questions or to report diagnosed Fifth Disease.

Funny
On my way home one day, I stopped to watch a Little League baseball game that was being played in a park near my home. As I sat down behind the bench on the first-base line, I asked one of the boys what the score was
'We ' re behind 14 to nothing, ' he answered with a smile.
'Really, ' I said. 'I have to say you don't look very discouraged.'
'Discouraged? ', the boy asked with a puzzled look on his face... 'Why should we be discouraged? We haven't
been up to bat yet. '
