Hometown Astronaut Visits Strategic Air & Space Museum
Astronaut Clayton Anderson visited The Strategic Air & Space Museum last Saturday. He was given a standing applause as he entered the room by the hundreds of people that were in attendance. Clayton spoke for about an hour as he presented a slide show of a few of the tens of thousands of pictures that he took during his 153 days in space. He answered questions from the audience after the presentation.

The crowd waited with GREAT anticipation for Clayton to arrive. Many extra chairs had to be brought in for the many people who came to hear him speak.

Clayton Anderson

It was truly AMAZING!
Clayton will be at the Museum again this Saturday, March 8 at 11:00 am. So if you get a chance, it is definitely worth seeing.
“SPACE-A Journey to our Future” will be on exhibit February 9-May 18, 2008. For more information and to view other museum events visit www.strategicairandspace.com

URGENT PLEA FROM LOUISVILLE FOR ARTISTS!
Up coming and Established, Young and Old Artists are invited to design and paint streetlight pole banners for display on Main Street in Louisville, May 17th through September 8th. An auction is planned for the banners after the display ends.
SO That Means an Opportunity for Fame AND Riches!
Opportunities like this don't come every day, so call that Local Artist Today! and give them a nudge!

Area artists are invited to participate in Air Your Art in Louisville, a public banner art display event, sponsored by BUILD (Businesses United In Louisville's Development) and Louisville businesses.

Artists are being asked to design and paint streetlight pole banners, incorporating the theme, “150 Years and Still Making Tracks.” The painted banners will then be displayed on Main Street in Louisville, May 17th through September 8th.

Interested artists should submit an entry form and design sketch for approval by March 7, 2008. Artists will be notified of approval and banners will then be distributed for painting, with the banner completion deadline set for May 9, 2008. Only one entry per artist
will be allowed, with only twenty-three total banners available for the display.

An auction is also being planned for the banners after the display ends, with BUILD sharing a portion of the proceeds with the artists. Details about the auction, including a date, will be made available at a later time.

An entry form and complete rules for the event can be obtained on-line at www.louisvillenebraska.com. For more information, contact Terri Scholting, BUILD President, at 402-234-2504 or WireBuilt at Toll Free 866-932-4774 or email City@LouisvilleNebraska.com

Helpful Hint
Mosquito spray.....
I received this in an email. I can't wait to try this in the summer! I don’t know for sure if it works, but Ill find out in a couple months J

”I was at a deck party awhile back, and the bugs were having a ball biting everyone. A man at the party sprayed the lawn and deck floor with Listerine, and the little demons disappeared.
The next year I filled a 4-ounce spray bottle and used it around my seat whenever I saw mosquitoes. And voila! That worked as well. It worked at a picnic where we sprayed the area around the food table, the children's swing area, and the standing water nearby.
During the summer, I don't leave home without it.....Pass it on.
I tried this on my deck and around all of my doors. It works - in fact, it killed them instantly. I bought my bottle from Target and it cost me $1.89. It really doesn't take much, and it is a big bottle, too; so it is not as expensive to use as the can of spray you buy that doesn't last 30 minutes. So, try this, please. It will last a couple of days. Don't spray directly on a wood door (like your front door), but spray around the frame. Spray around the window frames, and even inside the dog house.”
